ECOVE Receives Taiwan Circular Economy Award from Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research with Outstanding Sustainability Performance

ECOVE is pleased to announced that it has received the prestigious recognition of the 2020 "Taiwan Circular Economy Award" from Chung-Hua Institution for Economic Research for outstanding sustainability performance. Based on the idea of "Every Resource Counts," ECOVE continues to invest in circular economy through three main businesses of "waste management and energy-from-waste, renewable energy, and recycling and reuse."

ECOVE has devoted itself to the waste management and energy-from-waste sector for over two decades. We are the first company in Taiwan to export local incineration technology overseas, and with rich experience and technological expertise, we build an integrated smart monitoring and warning system for consolidating management data in real-time so that operation managers can make timely judgments and responses, ensuring stable operation of each project to improve operational efficiency. Moreover, in recent years we have been actively responding to government policies and investing in incinerator equipment revamping work in Taiwan to extend their operational lives, thus enhanced operating efficiency, and bring them in compliance with pollution prevention regulations. In so doing, we bestowed new life upon old plants and significantly improved the plant performance of incinerators.

In the field of renewable energy, ECOVE is dedicated to constructing and managing solar power systems based on solid planning and construction capabilities as well as high-quality system engineering capabilities. We take concrete actions to support the government's plans for renewable energy development, achieving the goal of sustainable energy development and sets a new example of green energy for Taiwan's large electricity enterprises. So far, we have delivered the development, planning, investment, construction, and management projects of more than 70 solar power plants of three major types: rooftop, ground-mounted, and floating. Upholding safe, reliable, and stable investment strategies and with long-term operations of the solar plants, ECOVE has been striving to deliver the "most reliable" service quality, establishing a good reputation and recognition among our clients.

In the field of recycling and reuse, ECOVE is committed to maximizing the utilization of materials and resources. For instance, in treating waste solvents, ECOVE actively engages in industry-academia cooperation for integrating and applying new technologies. We also work with upstream, midstream, and downstream stakeholders from the electronics industry, chemical plant owners, and solvent users to collectively work on the goal of recycling and reusing solvent waste, purified them into industrial-grade solvent, and successfully turned waste into resources. By building a cross-industry supply chain and multiplies the benefits of industrial symbiosis along with our partners, ECOVE creates win-win situations by taking concrete actions towards environmental protection for the goal of circular economy.

In the future, ECOVE will remain a practitioner of circular economy. By being committed to advancing our “resource cycling” efficiency, adopting smart applications, and actively participating in regional environmental issues and local community cooperation, etc., we will continue to expand our business realms for circular economy goal and contribute to sustainable development.
